Why do people start therapy?

People generally start therapy when they are experiencing some level of discomfort or distress in their lives. This could be a result of various mental health issues, such as depression or anxiety. It could also be a result of some kind of significant loss or life change, such as a divorce, death of a loved one, loss of a job, or medical diagnosis. In addition, some people seek out therapy because they are not feeling the sense of joy, purpose or satisfaction in their lives that they would like to be experiencing.
